I have been going to the same post office for years.  I’ve become acquainted with each post person.  But today was very interesting because there was a substitute postman helping out while someone was on vacation.  When it was my turn to have my stack of The Celiac Kid books mailed a most interesting thing happened.  The postman at the next station started telling this new man all about me.  He told about the three books that I had written and that this one that I was mailing was only a couple of weeks old.  He also told him that I send packages for every holiday and several in between to my two grandsons.  Then he continued and told about my two sons who had served in Iraq for over a year and the many packages that I had sent to them.   I felt like a celebrity especially when several people waiting in line shook my hand and congratulated me.  The two postmen started clapping and the rest of the people joined in.  Wow!  That was truly an unusual visit to the post office!
