Here’s a little story that we were emailed about when a teacher read The Celiac Kid to her class:

“We read the book and the kids loved it. Will reiterated what it meant to be a Celiac Kid. Afterwards, I was dismissing the kids to PE and Tess came up to me and said, “Mrs. Thompson, I bet Ella is absent today because yesterday she was eating the glue during our art project. And the story says that “glue-ten” can make some kids sick!”
…and Ella really was eating copious amounts of glue yesterday.”
