This blog is all about loving and caring for those living far away. Keeping in touch with family and friends is so important especially when it becomes a long distance relationship. Regardless of the reasons for separation, we would like to help you keep in touch.
A Paper Hug was written to help children deal with a deployed dad. Pictures are so important to send to family and friends because we all change – especially babies and children. And, the saying is very true, “A picture speaks a thousand words.” I have had two sons serve in Iraq, and a son and his family live out of state. I have loved being creative through letters and packages.

I have a three year old little girl,I am going through a divorce and her father is in Afghanistan. She has not heard from her dad in over a month, and it is very difficult to explain why he cant call.I saw this book online and we are sending him a paperhug,so far the only thing that works when she is sad,she will come ask me to read paperhug.
Thank God for this book!!!Anyone has any suggestions, please let me know.
I currently lead some deployment groups for young children and was wondering if the poem can be duplicated for them to use as gifts to their deployed parent. Thanks
BG Boor is the Chief of Staff at the Defense Logistics Agency and wanted to find out if it were possible to purchase some bookmarks and get them overnighted for a presentation to our children in our Child Development Center for Monday.
Your kind attention would be greatly appreciated.
