July 19 is “Hug Your Kid Day!”  Because we are all about hugs we are asking you to join in the celebration.  First of all hug your kid!  Whether your kid is 2 months or 60, a hug speaks a thousand words.  If they are not close by, call and give them a “telephone hug.”  It’s nice to know that Mom, Dad, Grandma or Grandpa — even aunts and uncles love a kid.

We would love to post any cute pictures of a kid receiving a hug.  The best picture will receive a free copy of both of our books.  All pictures received by July 22 will receive A Paper Hug inspired greeting card.  E-mail your picture to contactus@design-ability.com.

Paper Hugs are easy to make!

• Trace your hand on colored paper
• cut two hands
• cut a short piece of string, yarn, or twine (20″ to 24″)
• tape each end on to one of the hands

Now you can hang it from a branch,  bush or attach it to a wire or wooden stake and place it on a loved one’s grave.  This is a great way to help children remember family and friends that have passed on.
